I've worked in the Boston Branch for over five years now. A couple of years ago I decided to go full-time, which N&P were really supportive of. Since then, I've been developed, pushed and coached – especially on the Trainee Branch Manager (TBM) course, which I joined six months ago.
It's thanks to the supportive management that I've gone from part-time advisor to full-time consultant. In fact, it was my manager that pushed me to apply for the TBM course. Like all of the managers here she's enthusiastic, hugely experienced, and happy to put effort into your development. Because of that, I can really see myself at N&P for a long time.
I get to work directly with customers day-to-day, which keeps the job very interesting. Plus, there are lots of opportunities to support charities and give back to the community. I've even been able to do a tandem parachute jump for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution! If you enjoy working in a finance setting, but also want to work with and really help people, it's a great organisation to join.
